Welcome to the new NAFM!

Thank you for visiting our site. We hope you were driven to our site because of your interest in Family Ministry. Our organization is different from others. We exist to help network, resource, and equip pastors and lay leaders working with families. I am excited to share with you the upcoming opportunities we offer. They are:

 

SUMMITS:

Each year we host Symposiums and Summits on family ministry. We announced at this year's Summit that next year's will be hosted by Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, March 4-6, 2009! We are excited about teaming up with Ken Canfield, the Director for the Center for the Family, who is partnering with us. Be sure and mark your calendars. We will give you more information as details are confirmed.

SYMPOSIUMS:

We will be having a Symposium in Ann Arbor, Michigan, at Concordia University (our 3rd year) in October of 2008. As soon as dates and details are finalized, we will get that information to you and it will be on our web site.

We are also planning on two Symposiums for 2009, so keep an eye on our web site as we plan these events. Again, that information will be emailed to you.

WEB SITE:

Our site is full of information about family ministry and our member's only section has tons of information on marriage and parenting ministries, organization charts, and ways to build a family ministry in your church. Many of the sections will be updated soon with more information and the members only section will have a new DVD resource list you won't believe!

NAFM BOARD:

We wish John Erwin the best as he moves into a Senior Pastor position. He will be missed as one of our founding Board Members. As always, each one of our Board Members is accessible by phone or email for any kind of consultations or questions about Family Ministry. We each have a unique connection to family ministry and come from all different backgrounds and churches. We will be adding more Board Members over the next few months and we will let you know who they are.

NAFM MEMBERS:

The ability to network with others in like ministries is an invaluable resource. An E-Zine will be sent out to all members highlighting Family Ministry and Family Ministers from all over the country. We will be increasing communication through networking and making opportunities available for one on one conversations.

SPECIAL MESSAGE TO OUR MEMBERS:

If you have not renewed your membership, we are in the process of updating our membership list. We need to know by April 1st if you are continuing your membership by sending your $49.00 renewal fee either by check to the address on our web site, or through PayPal on our site. Those who have not paid by that time will be removed from our membership list, and you will miss all of the new things that are happening. We don't want that to happen!!
