Why is a Front Load Washing Machine More Water Efficient?

Most people have grown up with the classic top load washing machine. It is obvious how it works as the water covers the load of laundry in the bucket. In order for these machines to operate, one must ensure that the water level in the bucket is over the clothes in the bucket. A front load washing machine like the Samsung WF330ANW, works differently. It tosses the clothes through the water stream. This action ensures that clean water runs through each item that is being washed. Since the laundry items are not just sitting in dirty water, it cleans them more efficiently. Each item goes through the soapy water for washing and each item passes through fresh clean water for rinsing. Since it is not necessary to cover the clothes with the water, the machine will use much less water than a conventional top load machine. Because it uses less water, it also uses less energy to heat water.

Therefore, there are bonuses all around on front loading washers when compared to their top loading counterparts. The laundry cleans better and more efficiently. This reduces the energy consumption of the machine and reduces the owners energy bill. Since, it also will use less water, the owners water bill will be lower as well.
